Project-Based Learning Resources
In Project Based Learning (PBL), students go through an extended process
of inquiry in response to a complex question, problem, or challenge. Rigorous
projects help students learn key academic content and practice 21st Century
Skills (such as collaboration, communication & critical thinking).

Buck Institute  (BIE) publishes books and articles to support K-14 teachers
in designing and implementing PBL. We create free materials - "FreeBIEs" -
such as project planning forms, student handouts, rubrics, and articles for
educators to download and use. BIE also created curriculum units for
high school Economics and U.S. Government courses, Project Based
Economics and Project Based Government.

Edutopia  is the George Lucas Educational Foundation which offers you to browse

New Tech Schools  is a nonprofit organization that transforms schools into innovative learning environments. Their site offers services, resources, news, and blogs. New Tech Network is re-imagining education and the student accomplishments, which speaks volumes.

iEARN USA  There are over 150 projects in iEARN, all designed and facilitated by teachers and students to fit their curriculum needs and schedules. Projects take place in the iEARN Collaboration Centre. To join, participants select an online project and look at how they can integrate it into their classroom. With the project selected teachers and students enter online forum spaces to meet one another and get involved in ongoing projects with classrooms around the world who are working on the same project. In addition to connecting students’ learning with local issues and meeting specific curriculum needs, every project proposed by teachers and students in iEARN has to answer the question, “How will this project improve the quality of life on the planet?? This vision and purpose is the glue that holds iEARN together, enabling participants to become global citizens who make a difference by collaborating with their peers around the world.

iEARN is a site that contains the same vision as iEARN USA as they are one in the same.
